If you search hard enough, Berlin serves up every culinary combination you can imagine, but a stylish coffee shop serving great Greek food seems to be a new one, at least in Kreuzberg.
Bitte! is a bright, simply furnished, bare walled joint with a beautifully illustrated menu and decent coffees served in stylish ceramic cups. But the real good stuff comes in the shape of Mediterranean style dishes you’d find on any self respecting Greek menu. Try the fresh and crunchy dakos or the rich spinach, feta and dill pie with salad and you’ll think you’re back on the islands, except here you’ll even have a vegan option available.
But the best thing? The food in this place is cheap and also pretty healthy, so that makes it one of the best lunchtime options around!
€5 food: A bowl of dakos, a soup or even a sandwich will keep you below the €5 line
€5 ‘fullness’: The dishes a not huge, but rich and flavoursome, so you’ll leave satisfied
€5 change: Enough for a slice of orange cake or a spicy lemonade
