Yet another burger joint in Berlin? I hear you ask. Meat & Beat is a tiny little burger bar on Neukölln’s famous Sonnenallee, serving up 100% Aberdeen Angus beef burgers and a healthy range of veggie and vegan patties to boot.
Named after a variety of locations around the city, the burgers are cheap, delicious and, above all, a little unusual. Head to Meat & Beat if you’ve had enough of a simple beef and lettuce combo and are looking for something with a little ‘edge’ – think apple, honey-mustard and goats cheese.
Although many of the burgers creep over the €5 mark, a simple ‘Tresor’ hamburger or ‘Casino’ cheeseburger will leave you with a few coins to tip the friendly staff.
€5 food: A big, juicy burger in a fluffy white bun
€5 ‘fullness’: As full as you get from a burger
€5 change: Not much!
